I hear what sounds like ABS engaging at very low speed while on dry pavement. The truck is not losing traction at all and yet ABS is being activated. The error code indicates that speed sensor from right rear wheel is sending erratic signal. I replaced speed sensor and problem is still there. I noticed that the rear right shock absorber is leaking. Could that be causing a temporary loss of traction and fooling the speed sensor?

Hi,

The shock leak wouldn't cause a loss of traction. Did you check to see if the wiring at the sensor and the connector are in good condition? If you are getting an erratic signal, that is the first thing I would check. Can you provide the code you are getting?

Let me know if you have already done that.

Joe
