My ABS module went bad. As a temporary solution we disconnected from module but my chimes keep coming on every 3 minutes or so. How can I disconnect the chime?

Hello, I'm Danny.

Well we don't really recommend disconnecting safety devices. But it's just a tiny speaker located under the dash near the steering column. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Thank you Danny! I know I don't like the fact that we disconnected the ASB but after spending so much time and money trying to figure out what was wrong I'm broke and I have to wait until I can save money to get the ABS module. I'm on disability and I have limited finances. It will only be about 3 weeks before I can get the part and pay the mechanic to repair it. I appreciate your help. Now do I have to take the dash apart to get to the speaker or should I be able to see it from underneath the dash? I have no skills and I'm also an amputee.

Hello again.

No, you don't have to take dash apart. It's generally mounted near the steering column up with the wiring looms. It's relatively small (3in by 3in) and if I remember its dark gray. ABS modules can be pricey as I've attached a picture below from Ford. Hope this helps and again thanks for using 2CarPros.
