I am trying to remove the ABS brake module to send for repair. I am unable to release the big electrical cable. I was able to unlock and swing the hinged portion of the cover, but the whole unit of wires remain in/attached to the module.

Hi,

The only thing that holds the connector is the hinged connector lock you mentioned. Oftentimes, the connector is corroded and tight. Have you tried wiggling it and pulling it straight outward?

Let me know.
