abs. & awd disable light

My brakes were actin like abs brake were engaged every time I pressed brakes. So sensor was bad n s few wires were broken. I got all that fixed but the lights still on.Do I have to get it put on a computer to reset those lights or could there be another problem

a scanner needs to read the codes as well as erase the codes.
