It came on about a month ago when I went through some water. It made this graining sound and before stopping the lights was on. I shut car off n turned it back on the light was off.

This morning when I turn on my car both lights was on again and they haven’t been on since then. I went to n turn off my car like last time not but they was still on.. I know someone that have a little scan tool and it read a C1243 code. Now at the same time I have been having a issue coming out of 1st it seem like once I get through it’s all good. I saw some video saying that the front speed sensor could be the issue.. I really need some help please.

Hi,

The code indicates a few different possibilities. Yes, it could be a wheel speed sensor that will set codes for the ABS and the traction control. However, there are other issues that are possible as well.

Take a look through the diagnostics below. They walk you through the procedure to check specific things for this code. Let me know if this is something you are comfortable doing.

Let me know what you find or if there is anything I can do to help.

Take care,
