A whining noise

Welcome to 2CarPros.

Is there any way you could record the sound and upload it? It could be many different things. Belt driven accessories such as an alternator, power steering pump, ac compressor and so on can make such a sound. Also, cooling fans are known to make a wining sound.

Tell me, is there anything that makes it louder or quieter? Also, does it happen at all speeds or only when stopped?
