I have the carl listed above Classic and it has a popping sound when idling coming from 1 side of my exhaust when I got to accelerate it the popping sound gets worse, and it don't get up n go it hesitates and barely goes. I've changed the plugs, the throttle position sensor, checked the fuel pressure, checked my fuel injectors, and took the catalytic converters off because I thought news might if movie clogged up and it's still doing the scary thing. I'm stumped.

Hi,

That sounds like you may have an exhaust valve (burnt valve) that is failing. Have you checked engine compression? If you haven't, that is where I would start to see if there is a weak cylinder or cylinders on one side of the engine.

Here is a link that explains how to test:

You will need a compression gauge to do this. If you don't have one, most parts stores will lend one to you.

Also, take a look through this link, you may find it helpful:

Try this and let me know the results.

Take care,

Joe
