When I turn on my A/C at idle a high pitch whine/hum comes from the glove box area. If I remain in park the noise goes away but once I start driving the noise comes back and worsens as I accelerate and goes away as I slow down and stop. I have replaced the blower motor already.

Hi,

By chance, could you record the noise and upload it for me to hear? I'm asking because I have a feeling you are hearing the AC belt under the hood. It is on the opposite side of the firewall from the glove box.

Here is what to try: Open the hood, have a helper start the engine and turn on the A/C. Place the vehicle in gear or whatever is needed to cause the noise while you listen under the hood for the noise. If you hear it, pour a small amount of water on the belt to see if the sound changes. Just make sure to protect your eyes from the water flinging back toward you and stay clear of the moving components.

Let me know what you find. I attached a pic below showing the location of the A/C compressor. The belt is my first suspect in this case.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

I wasn't able to recreate the noise, last night for some reason it disappeared, it's never disappeared since I got the car. If it happens again, I will post it on here again.

Thank you.

Hi,

No problem whatsoever. LOL That is par for the course when it comes to repairs.

I'm here, so let me know if I can help in any way.

Take care,

Joe
