So, one day my A/C just stops blowing cold air. I checked the fan relay's and they are fine. Then, I had Freon put in it, it blew a little cold, but not like it used to. When I turn the A/C nob to the on position it makes a small kind of noise like a hand rubbing down a dry mirror. If you are not listening you could not tell. I am wondering if I have a clogged orifice valve or do i need a new compressor? Any advice?

Hello,

You could need a new compressor but to be sure we need to connect a gauge set to it.

Here is a guide that will help you confirm the problem.
