A/C suction line leak

Bought new suction line for A/C. New hose had three o-rings where as old hose had two o-rings. The metal pipe diameter was the same size. Condenser fitting was same size. Napa store guy stated this was a direct fit. Pulled vacuum, leaked test, and found leak at the o-ring connection. Do I use thicker o-rings?

No, remove the fitting again and inspect the o-rings and see if they got damaged from the installation. If one rolled over or got cut, this will result.

Did you lube the o-rings before you installed the line?
