My car's A/C has been stuck on the floor/defrost setting for a few months. When I turn the knob, it's loose and doesn't change where the air blows.

Hello,

It sounds like your mode door actuator is probably faulty.
The mode door actuator controls where to direct the airflow after your select it on the dash.
Many of these GM vehicles mode door typically fails on the floor/defrost setting.

I have attached replacement procedure for the mode door actuator.

Please let me know of any questions.

Thank you.
