Hello, my truck's vents are stuck on defrost. I have found the blend door for the temperature changes, but it works fine. I think I found the mode door actuator, but I can't figure out how it is held in place. It looks like there are no bolts holding it in place. Is this actuator on the passenger side the one that moves the mode door? How is it held in place?

Pull the glove box door down and you can see the mode actuator on the side of the case. It is held in place by 2 clips. Release the clips and it will release. Look at the parts behind the actuator, which is the mode cam, they can break as well. Those however require you to remove the HVAC case.
