Everything working as should then after thirty minutes of driving approximately A/C stops working, or blowing. Then if you stop awhile get back in it is back to working for another thirty minutes or so. I have had it to an A/C shop they said they could not get it to do it. You think blower motor heating up and shutting down and cools off and runs again? This is blowing my mind. Hope you have maybe heard this issue before. Thanks in advance for your help. Love your channel.

Hi Don,

It does sounds like the blower motor is going out, but I need to ask can you still hear the blower motor running and the air is not coming out or you can hear nothing like the motor is not running. If you can hear the blower and the air stops it sound like you have a evaporator that is icing up which is a sign of the system needing a recharge.

If you cannot hear the blower lets test the power at the motor when it is not working this guide will show you how.

Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Cheers, Ken

Ken, thanks for the response. Yes I think it is evaporator. The blower sounds like it is blowing wide open but only trickle of cold air coming out the vents. Only does this after running forty five minutes to an hour. Then if you let it thaw out it runs blows cold again.
You said freezing up because it needs charge? I do not understand that.

Yes, the system ices up when it is low on charge because the pressure drop is so extreme.

Check out this guide which will show you what the pressures should be.

Please run this test and get back to us.

Cheers, Ken

Ken, where have you guys been all my life? I took the car to a car A/C place last summer, I mean that is all they do, if it just needed more refrigerant. How could they miss it?

It could be the system has a small leak which would cause the problem. Here is a guide to help you check for the leak:

Let me know.
