The A/C stopped working so I checked for leaks. It doesn’t have any. Changed the A/C compressor and add coolant but it’s still blowing hot air. Is the a relay I can check? If so where is it located?

Welcome to 2CarPros.

Is the A/C compressor engaging when you turn on the A/C? Do you have an A/C manifold gauge set so I can know both the high and low side pressures? Also, I need the outside temperature when checked.

As far as a relay, there is both a relay and a fuse for the compressor. They are under the hood in the power distribution box. See picture 1. Check to see if there is power to the white wire on the compressor. If there is, then check ground for the compressor. See picture 2.

I don't know if you need them, but here are a few links related to checking electrical components and the tools used.

Welcome back:

Not sure if you have automatic AC or manual. However, I need you to check a fuse. Check 10A fuse (No. 49, located in IPDM E/R). That is the fuse that powers the relay. See pic attached.

Let me know.

Did you ever solve this problem? I’m having the same thing happen in mine. Can’t find a relay just a 10a fuse.

Hi,

Have you checked if there is power to the compressor. The relay is integral in the box and is not serviceable. What I suggest is to first confirm the system is charged. If the pressure is too low, the compressor will not actuate. Take a look through this link:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/car-air-conditioner-not-working-or-is-weak

If the system is charged, then you need to check for power at the compressor. See pic 1 for power supply. I am starting to see compressor clutch issues on this model. If you have power and the compressor doesn't engage, most likely it is the clutch.

Here are a few links you may find helpful when testing power:

Let me know what you find.
