A/C clutch engages when system is turned on

A/C clutch engages when system is turned on, clutch does not cycle on and off. Clutch stays engaged until A/C is turned off. No cold air.

There could be a few different things causing this problem. First, take a look through this link. It discusses common reasons the AC will not work.

Next, what I need from you are the actual pressure readings of the unit. You will need an AC manifold gauge kit. Most parts stores will lend them to you. Here is a link discussing proper vacuum and recharge. It shows the gauges in use.

The reason I ask for the pressure of both high and low sides of the system is because it will tell me if the system is actually working. When you take the readings, pay attention to the outside temperature. I will need that information too. If the system is working properly based on pressure readings, then I would suspect a blend air door issue. Here is a link which describes what the door does:
