When I turn on my A/C sometimes warm air will come out of the driver side vent while the other vents are blowing cold air until I shut the car off and start it up again thank you in advance.

Hi,

What you described sounds like a faulty blend air door actuator. I can't look up specific information because a hybrid wasn't offered in 1996. Is that the correct model year?

Here is a link that explains in general how a blend air door is replaced. Take a look through it and it should help you gain a better understanding of how it works and its purpose.

Please confirm the model and year for me so I can be sure to provide the correct information to you.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

I looked up the specifics of this vehicle. The air temperature (blend air door) is referred to as an air mix door. On this vehicle, it is controlled by a cable, so shutting it off and then it working isn't making sense. Also, there is no dual climate control, so the temp should be the same on both sides.

Let's try this. There is a chance the cable needs to be adjusted. I attached the directions below showing how to do it. Follow those directions and let me know if it helps.

Take care,

Joe
