A/C quit yesterday , hooked up my gauges and had almost 100 lb static pressure (low side). thought maybe it was too high and not letting the compressor turn on , so I relieved some pressure by unscrewing a fitting on my gauge; as the freon came out it wasn't cold at all (I thought it was always cold upon release).
Now I have 60 lb of static pressure , and still the compressor will not engage.
I'm pretty familiar with auto A/C , I figure I'll try to run a jumper to the compressor to see if it engages (which may prove difficult seeing it's in the bottom corner of the engine compartment). but the warm Freon thing still has me confused.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated; it's been 110° plus all week.
