a/c compressor bypass

Trying to bypass the ac unit. Do I use a smaller serpentine belt and would I route the belt the same way

The 1999 Ford F-250 7.3L Powerstroke is one of the easiest trucks to bypass the A/C compressor on, because Ford actually designed the belt layout in a way that lets you run a shorter serpentine belt with no change to the routing.

Serpentine belt: 98.0" length (approx. 2490 mm)

Common part numbers:

Gates K080975

Dayco 5080975

Motorcraft JK8-978

These all fall in the 97.5 - 98.0" range and work perfectly.
