A/C compressor installation issue

My compressor was making a lot of loud noise so I bought another on from a junk yard. They said it would fit but it has a bracket with it and the one I took off does not. Anyways I cannot seem to get it to match up . Is it the wrong one or am I just not putting enough into it? Thanks in advance.
