A/C clutch not engaging

When I turn on my A/C, the compressor doesn't kick on. And there is this red flashlight flashing that looks like a thermometer and an engine with a red square outline. What is that for? Why won't the A/C turn on?

Good morning,

You could be low or out of Freon. You need to have the system pressures tested to see if enough Freon is in the system to engage the low-pressure switch.
