I recently bought this vehicle it is a Laredo with the regular climate control. The air conditioner and heater will only blow out of the front vents and do not blow out of the defrost or get vents no matter what setting I change it to. I have done research and all I can find is troubleshooting of the vents are stuck on defrost. I have checked the fuses, vacuum hoses, actuators, the knobs and everything else I can think of and I am at a loss. I' would really like to fix it myself and save $1,000.00 or more it would take to have a mechanic take apart my entire dash up get to the ventilation system. Please help.

Good morning my name is Roy and I will assist.

Make sure there are no vacuum leaks anywhere or the system will not function. Watch the actuators under the dash for movement when you command the doors to move. See if there is any vacuum to them. If there is no vacuum you need to look at the control head where the vacuum comes from. Attached is a picture of the actuators and what they control.

Check this and report back to us with the result.
