When accelerating my A/C seems to quit blowing, why?

Hi,

I have a question. Do you mean the air gets warm or does the air flow slow or stop? I ask because there are two different things to consider based on the symptoms.

Also, the Escort was manufactured between the years 1980 and 2003. Can you confirm the year for me? Also, I need to know if it is a ZX2.
