Air conditioner will not work. When turned on from panel compressor does not come on. I have jumped compressor it does come on and air blows cold. Relay is good. Seems there is no signal from BCM or a connector. Not sure?

Good afternoon.

How did you test the relay?

You need two powers to the relay with the key on engine off. The PCM grounds the control side of the relay to activate the load side. This happens based on the inputs to the PCM from the pressure switch.

The BCM has do involvement in this control.

I put the AC relay where the fuel pump relay goes car cranked. (I was told that was how I could check relay) used paper clip to jump compressor. Dealership wants a lot of money just to diagnose the issue. I am trying to avoid that cost. And only have the cost of repair.

Did you check for power to the relay with a voltmeter or test light?

Okay, on two terminals?

If it does, then check for power at the pressure switch. You need a voltmeter for this one. Tell me the voltage.
