When driving at high speed sixty five mph engine throttles way back, especially on a grade. I can limp to an overpass open the hood disconnect the battery and the car runs great for quite a while. I had it on a trip could go four hundred miles then would act up again. Something smells hot, but gauges show okay.

Hello,

It sounds like you have a crankshaft angle sensor that is going out but we should run the codes to see what comes up.

Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Cheers, Ken

Actually it could be the catalytic converters falling apart plugging the exhaust.

Here is a guide to confirm:

Please run down this guide and report back.
