Crank not start, 7E8 check engine?

Hi,
The 7E8 isn't an actual diagnostic code. The code is a menu of systems that the OBDII scanner can access. Is this what you are getting with a scan tool?
If it is, go to read codes and it should provide codes starting with the letter P and have four digits after it.
