I went to AutoZone and used the code reader because in the mornings my car starts fine but after I drive it for a few minutes it will hesitate to start then next time I cut it off. I’m not sure if I need a bigger battery or something because when I turn my lights on bright or turn windshield wipers up it will lose power for like a second. What can I do to fix this?

Hello,

When the alternator is not working properly you could get this type of power loss.
Check the alternator output. With the engine running it should be 13.6V to 15.2V to the battery.

Here is a helpful guide:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-alternator

The code 61-01 is an ABS code. See below for the troubleshooting guide.

See attached for the vehicle specific (1.3L hybrid) test procedure for the alternator.

Let me know what you find or if you have any questions.
Thank you.

It is possible to have premature failure of any component. So it will be a good idea to have it tested before trying any other diagnostics.
