I have the car listed above convertible. I recently changed the oil an filled it with 5W-20 synthetic oil. The manual calls for 5W-30. Will the 5W-20 synthetic harm my engine? This is not an immediate problem because the car is parked in the garage for the winter. I have put on about 150 to 200 miles since the oil change. Do I need to change the oil again in the spring when I put the car back on the road?

Good afternoon,

Yes, I would change the oil back to the 5-30 as required by Volvo. It is very important that the weight is used at all times.

You will not damage the engine right now. Just change it when you bring it out of storage.
