Camshaft, if I can turn it very easily with a little effort with 12 in rachet new bearings are installed should that be okay?

I’ve installed my camera and nothing else in block. My question is, if I can turn it very easily with a little effort with 12 in rachet new bearings are installed should that be okay. It’s hard to turn by hand mostly because of camshaft sprocket.

Hi,

If you can turn it by hand, that is likely normal. I'm not there to feel how much resistance, but without the spark plugs installed, it should turn somewhat easily.

Okay, thanks. do you know what oil clearance should be for 5.3 camshaft?
