in the process of rebuilding a 5.3 liter chevy engine?

I’m in the process of rebuilding an engine. I can get a brand-new block 5.3 if I go that route can I put use my old pistons, cam, and crank. I have a used block with slight damage in one cylinder could it just be cleared up by having it honed or should I get it bored? Or if I find a good block with no damage in cylinder’s can I just hone it and reuse old internal parts.

Sure, you can reuse the old parts if they are still good, the only thing you cannot reuse is the piston rings, they must be new. Here is a video of the engine rebuild process and how to install the piston rings:
