I used 4wd a week ago and ever since then I feel my acceleration is a little slower, I hear an ever so slight humming sound from behind me that use to not be there. and to be honest I feel like I’m getting better grip on the ground, but that might just be me overthinking things. What happened to my vehicle?

Hey BIGBLUEITCH,

Can you please start by checking your tire pressures?

I know this sounds simple but low tire pressure would cause excess tire noise and drag.

Does the humming noise change as you corner?
Is it louder during a sweeping left hand bend or right land bend?

Regards, Joe
