My Daughter just purchased the truck listed above.
The truck runs out fine, but the check engine light was on.
When asked, the seller said it had something to do with the catalytic converter. Today I put my reader on it which brought up a P0430 Code which I erased and so far, the Check Engine light is off.
I went through different areas of my reader and checked for ABS codes as the red Brake light and ABS are on C0265 which I cannot erase, but I'll deal with that later.
My reader has another area to check codes and when I went there it shows 40 different codes starting at P0101 to P0342.
Like I said, the truck runs and shifts out fine for there to be that many unerasable codes.

Is this a bad computer?

Hi,

The first code, P0430, is specific to the bank 2 catalytic converter. Basically, it isn't meeting the minimum requirements.

As far as the other codes, if the light is off, they shouldn't be listed. I don't know all of them but the P0342 deals with the camshaft position sensor, and the P0101 is related to the mass airflow sensor. Either of these things should cause drivability issues.

Are you able to clear the forty codes?

Let me know.

Joe
