I have a 1995 F150 with the 5.0 that I am building into a 347 stroker. I was wondering what the best cam choice would be. I have been using your video from 2 years back and using parts listed in said series, however the cam you used is not what I'm looking for. I kind of want something a little more aggressive, something that will make my motor chop as some call it? Thanks.

Hey there!

Thank you so much for watching the series!

So, choppiness of a camshaft has to do with Lobe Separation Angle or LSA. The smaller the number the more valve overlap you have and the more chop you have. The camshaft we used has a LSA of 114 which is more than stock but not crazy.

This camshaft is 110 which is a bit more and has higher stats all the way around.

The only thing with that is you will need stiffer valve springs, watch your valve guide clearance and your piston to valve clearance. But that camshaft will make a bit more power and be choppier for sure.

Thank you for using 2CarPros.com

Best,
Ryan
