Hi, I have a 2006 Ford Falcon XT auto. The last day or two there's been a sound made by the car when driving. It's 3 sounds one after the after in quick succession. Now there is a letter "S" that started appearing next to the odometer and it flashes for about 30 seconds. After that the "S" stops flashing. What does that means.

Thank you Themy Palatsides

On the falcons the S is the speed set symbol, your cruise may be on, as for the noise I will need more info.

No to sure with out looking at one, it will be the speed set, and not the cruise by the way, I will try and find out today or you should be able to Google it.

If you hold down the mode button for 2 seconds (one attached to the steering wheel), then quickly pressing it again, you can turn it off that way. see if that turns it off.

Hi,

Speed warning device.

If I had been told from the start about pressing the mode for 2 seconds for the "S" I wouldn't have had to go to my local dealer. Due to not getting the full rundown how to delete the "S".

Regards
