This sounds like you have a gear range sensor that has gone out which is located on the transmission where the shift cable connectors. Does the car seem to shift okay? Please let me know.

Yes, the shift is okay. I manage to changed the gear to manual and can now start the car.

I do not have any diagrams for you, but it will be where the shift cable connects the the transmission. Can you upload a picture so I can confirm the correct sensor?
