2nd gear delay to change & being bobber to change

I have ford windstar model 2004 , I having the problem during driving, 1st gear easy to drive ,
2nd gear delay to change & bobber to change , could you please help

the valve body could be suspect if it is not shifting past second gear. I would try changing the fluid and filter to see if there is any metal in the pan. this will indicate a possible internal failure in the trans.
