I have the car listed above with 2.2l Eco motor. Engine cranks over but will not start. The ICM has been changed along with the crank position sensor. Still it turns over fast but will not start. I inspected the timing chain and its tight with no play. Changed oil just to check it for any sign of debris. Washed hands completely free dipped hand in it and nothing. Didn't feel any signs of anything mixed or any dirt- almost as if I poured new oil straight into drain pan. I don't have a scan tool yet but it's on my list to get for sure. I don't have a compression tester, or fuel tester. Would a failing fuel pump cause it to turn over faster than normal? I wouldn't think it wld but thought to ask considering some work on these motors daily would def know more about it than I would. Thanks in advance. Any and all help is welcome.

Good morning,

Turning over fast is usually an indication of a failed timing chain and valve damage. There is no compression and the engine turns much faster than normal.

You need to do a compression test to verify. You can rent one at a parts store for the procedure.

I attached the procedure for removing the chain.
