The vehicle listed above has AWD. The other day I started my car, and my check engine light was on. I took it to get the code read and when it came back it was code P068A, ECM / PCM Power Relay De-Energized Performance - Too Early. I read about it a little bit and went home and checked the fuses to the PCM, all fuses were good but when I turned the car back on the check engine light was off. Fast forward to yesterday I drove the car to see if the engine light would come back on and it never did. However, I was going up a hill and all of a sudden, the overheating alarm went off, so I immediately looked at the temp and it was all the way to the top pulled right over and the second I pulled over it went right back down to normal heat level. I checked my antifreeze the car wasn’t overheating or anything. What could this possibly be? Could it be related to the P068A code?

This sounds like you have two separate problems, first with this code most of the time the problem will be the battery needs to be replaced and then the codes cleared, and the issue should be fixed.

P068A - Power relay de-energized too early, risking memory corruption

Please start a new thread for the overheating issue if the new battery does not fix it. Also, wait until the engine is cold and then check the coolant level. Sorry, we only handle one problem per thread, please post your new question here, you must be logged in.
