I am attempting to connect a set of rear LED lights to come on when the DRL are on. What wire going into the headlights is for DRL?

The DRLs on that car are not set up that way. They use a computer module that controls the lighting and the DRLs are controlled through that module. The module in turn is controlled through the body control module via computer signals. There is no single DRL wire that does just the DRL control. What is the reason for the rear lights? Do you want them as running lights or more like European rear fog lamps?

I have them set up as running lights. They currently come on when the parking lights are on, but I was hoping to have them on with the DRL.

Figured as much. That is one of the big issues with modern vehicles, the computers take over and limit everything that can be done. Looking at the wiring there are not many options other than turning the parking lights on. If it was an older car with a DRL relay you would have some options but on that one it's all done in the modules and they are calibrated to the draw of the lights that already come on. Even if you enabled the Euro option they still only operate with the parking lights.

Sorry it's not better news. I've seen a few vehicles where owners added lights like they used to and it damaged various control modules, that gets expensive very quick, and as they keep adding all the electronics it gets worse for repairs and overall reliability.
