Issue:

I’m experiencing a problem with my Beetle is dead and won't respond. Here’s a summary of the symptoms and tests:

- Push to Start/Stop Button Dead – No response, completely dead.

- FOB Remote Control – Works ; locks and unlocks doors and trunk release works.

- Dashboard Display – Only shows door/hood/rear alerts when open and no other symbols or indicators.

- Odometer Toggle – Displays mileage works.

- Hazard Lights – Functional.

- Radio/Display – Completely dead/ does not turn on.

- High Beams – Work temporarily holding the toggle.

- Steering Lock Immobilizer – Was physically Removed from the (Lock)column to push and maneuver the car around but remains connected and tied off to the side.

- Fuses – Checked all fuses individually in both the engine bay and interior fuse boxes—none Blown/ Burnt.

- Battery – New and fully charged.

- OBD Access – Unable to use a scan tool since I can’t turn on Power ACC to enable access because the push to start button is dead.

Is there another hidden fuse? Or device burnt.

Unable to find any service manuals or electrical schematics on google.

Looking for advice on troubleshooting and resolving this issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Sure, I have seen the push button control module go bad and cause this problem, here is how to swap it out which should fix the problem. Check out the images (below). Please upload pictures or videos in your response of any problems so we can see what to help you with.
