Hi All,

I have the vehicle listed above XLT model from new. I am based in the Middle East and I have a service contract with the dealership.

During the last scheduled service at 70,000, I was told that there's no fuel filter on this vehicle. Is that correct? Also, they changed the spark plugs at 30,000. After that, they did not change. Apparently it's recommended only at 100,000.

My fuel consumption has gone up considerably during last month with same running pattern and trying to find out why?

Pumping only 95 octane.

Your help is much appreciated.

Thank you.

Good morning,

The fuel filter is part of the fuel pump assembly. There is no reason to replace the filter as it is not available by itself.

As far as the fuel mileage, I would replace the plugs again and see if that improves your mileage. They did drop the recommendation om mileage to 50,000. That is where I would start.
