Hello, I'm looking to buy a used car this spring. My # 1 choice is the 2014 Mazda 6 iSport. My 2nd choice is a used 2013 Honda Accord Sport. A mechanic told me that although Mazda and Ford have parted ways Mazda still uses Ford parts and these parts will not last as long (i.E. About 2 years before I start having problems). Therefore, the 2013 Honda Accord Sport will be the more reliable & responsible choice according to this mechanic. I'm budget conscious and want to ensure I don't have 'buyer's remorse' due to mechanical issues; however I really like the 2014 Mazda 6. Do you have any advice or recommendations?

I guess the bottom line is you can have trouble with any vehicle regardless of make or model. I have been around Mazda for many years and have found little difference between them and other makes. The most important component when owning any car is maintenance. If the vehicle is maintained and taken care of, fewer problems will occur.

My suggestion is to get the one you want and take good care of it. I'm sure it will serve you well. Trust me when I say they all break, Honda, Toyota, Nissan. They ALL have their own issues.

I AGREE ON THE SOMETHING WILL EVENTUALLY BREAK THING STATED BY J&N

WHY PUT YOURSELF THRU THE HASSLE OF COMPLICATED OVER ENGINEERED NEW STUFF?

YOU KNOW I HATE GETTING IN AND OUT OF A VEHICLE THAT MIMICS A SUNKEN BATHTUB

THEN WE GOT THE OLE, "IF I BUMP MY TIRES ON THE CURB STOP, I WILL SURELY RIP THE WHOLE FRONT END OFF WHEN I BACK UP".

WHAT ABOUT AIN'T NO TRYING TO STRADDLE A 'POSSUM WITHOUT A MEGA LICK TO THE FRONT? (MIGHT EVEN BE TOTALED ?)

WOW!

THINGS YOU MUST CONSTANTLY REMEMBER WHEN YOU GET ONE OF THEM LITTLE RIGS

I RECKON THAT'S WHY THEY FIGURE YOU'LL FORGET TO TURN OFF THE HEADLIGHTS WHEN YOU MUST REMEMBER SO MUCH OTHER STUFF! (THE HEADLIGHT FEATURE IS JUST ONE OTHER THING TO TEAR UP AND BE EXPENSIVE)

SO I'M NOT TRYING TO MAKE ANYBODY MAD, I'M JUST TRYING TO MAKE A GOOD INTRO FOR THE NUMBER ONE VEHICLE SENT FROM HEAVEN IN 1940, AND YES, IT'S STILL HERE! (AND ALWAYS WILL BE!) BUT, YOU MUST REMEMBER TO TURN OFF THE HEADLIGHTS LIKE I DO!
