I want to instal led lights under dash on my car .please help me in giving connection

When do you want them to turn on? Assuming you have a product that runs on 12 volts, as most products for cars do, the black wire or negative terminal gets bolted to the body sheet metal which is called "ground". The red or positive terminal can be connected to a switch or to some other circuit that turns on when you want these lights to turn on.
