What is "shhh" noise I hear.

I have a new 2013 Lexus GS. Especially during acceleration I hear a "SHHHH" sound. I am also getting poor gas mileage.Could this be connected? Dealer says all is "normal".

If dealer says it is normal, we can't really refute that as they know better than us. If you do not really dig what they are saying, try checking for looseness at the air cleaner. Maybe it is not secured correctly allowing air resonance noise to be emitted.
