Hi there, I am about to buy the vehicle listed above SEL model. however, in the inspection it was revealed that the right axle PTU was leaking and needed a replacement. The dealer did this for me, but I am concerned that this is a red flag given the newness of the car and the low mileage. How concerned should I be? Not interested in costly transmission repairs in a year...

This is not uncommon to have this leak. A lot of times they can get hit by road debris or just fail. I would not be concerned with it. However, here is the info on the CV axles to give you more info about what they do and what can go wrong.

Run through this info and let us know if you have questions. However, if this is all that was wrong, I would not worry too much about it. Clearly we don't have a crystal ball but I would not let this keep you from buying it or being concerned about it.

Let us know if you have other questions. Thanks
