The truck listed above is an XLT model. I was driving yesterday and at every stoplight the truck would get stuck in third, fourth or fifth gear. Sometimes it would reset, or I have to shut the truck off to get it to reset. Whenever it gets stuck in third, fourth or fifth any gear higher than what it was stuck in Would disappear off the gauge cluster completely. Also, when it was stuck, there was a loud, almost grinding noise, but it never tripped any error codes.

Hi,

It sounds like a connector issue. There is a technical service bulletin related to this issue.

The C1575 connector (molded lead frame) appears to be defective. I attached the info below. It indicates a production date. Check to see if your truck falls within the date provided. You should find the date either on the door frame or under the hood.

Take a look through the info I provided. Note that the molded lead frame is internal. I attached a pic of one. See the last pic below. The OEM part number is AL3Z-7G276-B. I have a feeling this is the issue.

Let me know if this helps.

Take care,

Joe
