I have a nick/dent in the center of my tailgate. I want to leave the tailgate at their shop for repair, but we can not remove the tailgate. How can we remove this tailgate from my truck? We are formula with the removal of the 2003 through 2006, but the 2007 and up are installed differently.
Thanks in advance for your continuous support.

See pictures, but pretty much remove electrical if you have a camera, remove cables and then take off engate. There may be a slot in one side to lift then end gate removes you may need two people.

First of all, thanks for your quick reply. The problem still remain. The bottom left corner is secured where I can not pull it out like the one on the right end corner slot. It should life up and pull out.
I own a 2004 EXT and all I had to do was lift the engate at a 45 degree angle by myself and life off, but this one is designed differently. For some unknown reason, the left bottom end of the engate slot will not allow it to come out. Of course, the electrical camera has been disconnected as well.

Thanks for the images.

Do you know if there is anything else I can do to remove it?

Picture shows instructions for removing tailgate it has to be almost open to get to correct area to lift one or both sides up if you open all the way you should see a lot where it rotates to remove it. That is all we have in both of our manuals.

FYI, I went to our local auto parts store and purchased some WD40 along with some penetrating oil. Mixed together and poured it into the left side (driver’s side) slot of the end-gate. I let it resolved-soak into the unmovable gam overnight. Next morning, I unplugged the camera and removed the safety cables from each side of the end-gate. After doing so, I gave it a big jerk and it potted right out.

It look to be frozen or stuck in that slot.

Thanks for the images, your reply and all you have done to assist.
