I have a VW UP, an european model. The problem is that it does not enter into reverse all the time. I press the clutch, and when i try to put it in reverse it enters in some kind of partial reverse, the gear lever does not go all the way. And then when I lift the foot off the clutch it makes a terrible noise, like a scratch or something. So, I wonder why is that? Why it does not go in reverse. This happens let's say in 5% of cases.
