Interchangeable engines

I have the vehicle listed above SX with a 2.4l l4 engine. Which cars would the engine be a direct fit without changing the head or anything? And which cars would only the engine block fit and I'd have to swap my head, etc on? like maybe the Hyundai ix35, Grandeur, Sonata, Santa Fe or the KIA Forte, Forte5, Forte Koup, Magentis, Sorento, Sportage, etc.

It looks like the long block is shared by the 2011-14 Sorento and the 2011-12 Santa Fe as well as the 2011-2013 Forte SX that you have. However that engine was under a recall in the Sorento and Santa Fe because they can fail unexpectedly. I would probably contact a dealer if yours is failing or has and see if the engine might be under that recall, as it was an option in your vehicle it may still fall under the other engines as it was likely built in the same plants the others were.
