2011 Nissan Almera timing

my vehicle was running hot had the head taken off to clean up and replace the timing was taken down now the head is replaced and put up but the timing we cant get back right please help i really need my car fix. ALSO DO I HAVE TO CHANGE THE CAM SENSOR WHEN DOING A HEAD JOB FROM VEHICLE RUNNING HOT

The cam sensor should be fine. However, why can't you set the timing? Please note. I am not too familiar with this model Nissan and have no pics of the timing belt. Can you explain what is happening so I could possibly give you some advice?
