It is a Hyundai Tucson 35i 2011, the wheel does not lock up after I take the key out.

Inside the steering column, there is a pin that raises and locks the wheel when it is put in the lock position.

A 2011 and 30k is still under the 3 36k warranty. This should be a free repair to you.
